PLAY ON WORDS PODCAST
The idea for Play On Words Podcast originated from a group of theater enthusiasts in Pittsburgh, PA. We took what resources we had to get back to an activity we loved when we weren't able to take the stage. Each episode involves a new creative team or collaboration with another theater company. Some of it is new content written specifically for the podcast, others are short classics with their own audio twist.
PERFORMANCE
Starting in 2021, Glass Fox Productions has collaborated with the Pittsburgh New Works Festival through the Play On Words Podcast. With our team of theater creatives, we have staged world premieres of one-act plays at Genisius Theater on campus at Duquesne University, including "The Choice" by Danielle J. Lang, "Spring Band Concert" by Sean Lenhart, and "I Do?" by F.J. Hartland. We are excited to bring you more live theater through the Pittsburgh New Works Festival future seasons as well as other staged productions through Glass Fox Productions.
COLLABORATION
Along with producing new works and reworked classics on the Play On Words Podcast, we have helped bring to life audio recordings with other theater companies local to Pittsburgh. Notable collaborations include the production of Hamlet with Food for Groundlings, The Pittsburgh Monologue Project with the Duquesne Red Masquers, and The Little Prince with Gemini Children's Theater.
